Plan the room before assigning places. DEVENT combines a floor layout with the names and capacity you need to seat guests across your event.

Build a floor plan with meaningful measurements

Set the room dimensions and add round or long tables, entrances, a dance floor and other fixtures. Table width, depth or diameter controls its floor footprint. Table height is a separate vertical measurement. Check room measurements and walkways with the venue.

Move and resize with an explicit edit mode

Turn on Edit layout to drag items or pinch tables and the dance floor on a touch screen. Movement stops at available boundaries. Long-press an item for settings and apply those changes to the draft. Press Done editing to save the layout, or discard the draft. Chairs can be shown or hidden.

Review a suggestion before applying it

Automatic seating uses your guests, table capacities and selected rules to prepare a suggestion. Review it before applying, then make manual adjustments where needed. Publishing is separate from saving the draft and makes the published seating available on guest invitations.

How to use it

  1. Measure the room and arrange its tables and fixtures.
  2. Review capacity, guest groups and any seating rules.
  3. Check the final allocation, then publish the seating plan.

Worked example

Save the arrangement when you are ready

In a sample room, move a long table closer to the wall and resize the dance floor. Both changes stay in the layout draft while you review the room. Done editing saves them together; it does not publish the plan to guests.

Common questions

Can tables overlap?

The planner prevents table overlaps. During supported dragging and resizing, an item stops at the available boundary instead of moving through another item.

Is automatic seating final?

No. It is a suggestion to review and apply. You can make further changes before publishing.
