Privacy Policy

DEVENT is operated by Dprime Solutions Pty Ltd in Australia. Event organisers use the platform to coordinate events, guests, venues and suppliers.

Depending on how you use DEVENT, we may collect account identity and contact details, event and guest information, RSVP answers, dietary or accessibility information, venue and supplier profiles, enquiries, billing and transaction references, uploaded files, support communications, and security or operational logs.

Some RSVP answers may be sensitive. We limit access to people who need that information to organise or safely deliver the event.

We use information to operate accounts and events, deliver personalised invitations and RSVPs, connect organisers with venues and suppliers, provide support, secure the platform, manage subscriptions, meet legal obligations, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

Event organisers decide which guest information they add and which questions they ask. Organisers are responsible for having an appropriate reason to collect that information, giving guests any required notice, and restricting collaborator access. Guests receive private, non-sequential invitation links and should not share them publicly.

We may use trusted providers for hosting and storage, authentication, PayPal payments, Google address services, and the email, SMS or WhatsApp provider selected by the platform administrator. A provider may process information in Australia or overseas according to its infrastructure and contract. We disclose only what is reasonably needed for the service.

DEVENT records limited website usage statistics to understand which pages are useful. We record safe page names, the visit time, a broad device category and a source category such as Google or Facebook. A random browser identifier stored on your device is hashed before being saved with traffic records to estimate distinct visitors. It is not linked to your account, guest identity or event.

Traffic records exclude guest names, private event details, invitation tokens, search text, raw IP addresses and full referrer URLs. Private invitation and check-in routes are grouped under general page names. Reports are restricted to Super Manager and cover the most recent 365 days; older records are removed in bounded batches as new visits arrive. Super Manager visits and recognised bots are excluded. Browser privacy signals are respected. You can stop future traffic measurement on this browser using the choice below.

When enabled by DEVENT, optional Google Ads tags load only after you allow advertising measurement. They help attribute confirmed live plan purchases to advertising. Google may receive ad click identifiers, a transaction reference, purchase amount and currency, and process them overseas. Guest names, emails, event details and private invitation URLs are excluded. We do not enable personalised advertising through these tags. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. You can change your choice below; withdrawing permission stops future measurement but does not delete information already sent to Google. Previously set Google advertising cookies may remain until they expire or you clear them in your browser.

If you enable phone notifications, DEVENT stores an encrypted device registration token linked to your account and sign-in session. We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notifications to that device. RSVP alerts use a generic message without guest names or RSVP answers. You can disable notifications in Account & privacy or your device settings. Signing out stops future alerts for that sign-in. This feature does not enable Google Analytics.

If you enable the planning assistant, DEVENT sends your question and relevant event information to the AI provider configured by DEVENT (currently OpenAI). Uploaded quotes or images are sent for analysis only when you choose that action. We keep your conversations and saved preferences to provide continuity. Avoid including unnecessary guest or sensitive personal information in chat or uploaded documents.

Supplier enquiries are sent through DEVENT’s email service only after you review and approve the message. The supplier receives the event and contact information shown in that preview. Replies can be received through Resend and saved in the private enquiry inbox. Incoming supplier content does not authorise changes, payments or outgoing messages. Seating relationship rules stay within the organiser workspace and are excluded from public seating information.

We use role-based access controls, event-level isolation, protected file access, audit records and test-mode safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security. We retain information only as long as needed for the event, account, support, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal or financial record-keeping. Retention periods may vary by information type.

Signed-in users can download an export of event data they own and submit access, correction, support or deletion requests from the Account & privacy page. You can also request account deletion without signing in or installing the app. Deletion requests are reviewed before action because event ownership, active subscriptions, payment records and lawful retention duties may be affected.

The Android and iOS apps connect to DEVENT over HTTPS and uses device-local session cookies. They do not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Embedded DEVENT pages use the limited website traffic statistics described above. The apps do not request contacts, location or broad photo-library access. On iOS, camera access may be requested only when you choose to capture an event image. Files you explicitly select can be uploaded for event features. Sign out to clear the app’s local session data. Event data is stored on our servers, not only on the device.
